The Leyland group meets every Thursday at 7.30pm at Leyland Methodist Church, 9 Turpin Green Lane, in the middle of town. It is an open Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, so anyone may attend — people with a desire to stop drinking, people who are not sure, and the families and friends alongside them. The meeting runs for an hour and a half and the church is wheelchair accessible. Leyland has AA cover three times a week — Tuesday's Farrington Newcomers, this Thursday group, and Saturday's Friends of Bill W — so a newcomer in the town is never more than a couple of days from a meeting.
