About this meeting

Leyland Friends of Bill W meets every Saturday at 7pm at St James Church on Slater Lane. The name is old AA shorthand — Bill W co-founded Alcoholics Anonymous in 1935, and 'a friend of Bill' has been a discreet way of identifying a fellow member ever since. This open meeting runs for an hour and a half and follows a structured monthly rhythm: a Step meeting on the first Saturday of the month and a Tradition meeting on the second, with general sharing on the others. The church is wheelchair accessible and everyone is welcome, member or not — a solid way to anchor a Saturday night in Leyland.
