Athlone St. Mary’s

Every Tuesday at 1pm, Athlone St. Mary's holds a closed Alcoholics Anonymous meeting at St. Ciarans House at Knights Hall on St. Mary's Square, Athlone, Co. Westmeath. Closed meetings like this one are reserved for people with a desire to stop drinking rather than the wider public, and the group meets at this same lunchtime hour throughout most of the week. Turning up costs nothing and there is no booking process, so anyone who identifies with wanting to stop drinking can simply attend. Note that the last Saturday of the month follows a traditional format, with readings from the Big Book alongside members' shares, though that particular session falls on a Saturday rather than a Tuesday. Wheelchair access at the venue is unconfirmed, so check with the group first if this affects you.
