Athlone St. Mary’s

On Thursdays at 1pm, Athlone St. Mary's holds a closed Alcoholics Anonymous meeting with a step study format at St. Ciarans House at Knights Hall on St. Mary's Square, Athlone, Co. Westmeath. The step format means the group works through one of AA's Twelve Steps together rather than sharing on open topics. Closed status means the meeting is for people with a desire to stop drinking rather than the wider public. Attendance is free with no booking required, so members can simply turn up shortly before 1pm. The group also runs a traditional format meeting on the last Saturday of each month, with readings alongside shares. Wheelchair access at Knights Hall is unconfirmed, so check with the group in advance if needed.
