Hemel Hempstead Chair

Hemel Hempstead Chair meets on Friday nights at 8pm at the Quaker Meeting House, 1 The Alleys on St Mary's Road, and lasts an hour and a half. In a chair meeting, one member gives the main share, telling their story before the floor opens for others, so there is plenty to listen to and no obligation to speak. It is an open meeting: anyone may attend, including friends, family and professionals, along with anyone who has a desire to stop drinking. The venue is listed as having provision for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. As with every AA meeting there is no charge and no booking; arriving a little before 8pm gives you time to find a seat.
