York Saturday

York's Saturday Al-Anon Family Groups meeting is held every week at 2pm in the Woolman Room at the Friends Meeting House on Friargate, just off Clifford Street. Al-Anon exists for anyone whose life is or has been affected by someone else's drinking, such as a partner, parent, adult child or friend, and the group is open to newcomers without any need to have attended before. Over an hour and a half, members talk about how they are coping and what has helped them, drawing on their own experience rather than giving advice. There is no requirement to bring along the person whose drinking prompted you to come. The meeting is free, informal and does not need to be booked ahead of time.
