York Women In Recovery

York Women In Recovery meets on Wednesday evenings at St George's Church on Peel St, running for about an hour and fifteen minutes. The group notes that the entrance to the church is at the side of the building, adjacent to the car park, which is worth knowing for anyone visiting for the first time. It is an open AA meeting, so anyone with a desire to stop drinking is welcome to attend. The women-focused format gives members a space to share experiences specific to their own circumstances within the wider fellowship, while still following AA's usual open approach to attendance.
