Sale Brooklands meets on Thursday evenings at 8pm at St John Divine Church on Brooklands Road, on the southern side of Sale. The meeting runs for ninety minutes, finishing at 9.30pm. It is a closed Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, which is AA shorthand for a meeting reserved for people who have a desire to stop drinking, or who have started asking themselves difficult questions about their drinking. It does not mean the meeting is private or unwelcoming; if that description fits you, the door is open and nobody expects advance warning. The church is wheelchair accessible. Together with the Monday and Wednesday meetings at Sale Moor Methodist Church, it gives Sale three AA nights a week.
What should I expect as a newcomer?
