Newburn Ladies Just For Today

Newburn Ladies Just For Today is a women's meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous on the western side of Newcastle upon Tyne, held on Sundays at 3pm at Newburn Parish Hall, 28 Station Road. It runs for an hour and a quarter and takes its name from AA's Just For Today card, with its focus on staying sober one day at a time. The meeting is closed, kept to women who have, or think they may have, a desire to stop drinking; many women find a single-sex meeting an easier place to talk honestly. The hall is wheelchair accessible, and a chit system is available if you need signed proof of attendance for court, probation or treatment. It is free, with no booking.
