This Narcotics Anonymous meeting runs every Wednesday evening at Fenham Library on Fenham Hall Drive in the west of Newcastle upon Tyne. Doors are open for a 7pm start and the meeting lasts an hour and a half. It follows a steps and topics format, with time given to reading through the NA programme and to open sharing around a chosen theme. As an open meeting, anyone can come along — whether you're wondering if NA might help, are already in recovery, or are a family member or friend wanting to understand more. The library venue is wheelchair accessible. Please note pets aren't allowed. There's no need to book and nothing to pay; just turn up and find a seat.
Can I come if I'm not sure I'm a member yet?
Yes. This is an open meeting, so anyone is welcome, including people who are just curious, those in recovery, and family or friends. NA asks only for a desire to stop using drugs — you don't need to decide anything before you arrive.
Do I need to book or pay anything?
No booking is needed and the meeting is free. NA is self-supporting through members' own contributions, so a basket is passed round if you'd like to give, but there's no obligation and newcomers aren't expected to.
Is the venue accessible?
Fenham Library is wheelchair accessible. One thing to be aware of: pets aren't allowed at this meeting. If you have other access needs, it's worth asking a member on the night.
