Sligo's Saturday Narcotics Anonymous meeting is held at 6pm in Sligo Presbyterian Church on Church Street, right in the town centre. It runs for about an hour and is a closed meeting, so it is intended for those who have a desire to stop using drugs rather than being a general information session for the public. Meeting on a Saturday early evening, it can suit people who want support before the weekend rather than after it. Like other NA meetings, the format centres on members sharing their own experience rather than receiving guidance from an outside facilitator. Wheelchair accessibility at the church has not been confirmed, so anyone with mobility needs is encouraged to get in touch with the group beforehand. There is no cost involved and no booking process, you simply arrive in time for the start.
Can family or friends attend the Sligo NA meeting?
Not this one. It is a closed meeting, reserved for people who have a desire to stop using drugs rather than for supporters or the public.
Is there a fee for attending?
No, NA meetings are always free and there is no need to book a place at Sligo Presbyterian Church.
Does the church have wheelchair access?
Accessibility has not been confirmed for this venue, so it is sensible to check directly with the group before attending if you need step-free access.
