On Wednesday mornings at 11am, the Sarsfield Group holds a Steps meeting in the Lough Gur Room at the Maldron Hotel on Roxboro Road, focusing on working through the Twelve Steps rather than general open sharing. It is a closed meeting, for those with a desire to stop drinking, in line with AA's usual practice. The Steps format tends to appeal to members with some existing grounding in the programme who want to look at a particular Step in more depth. Meeting mid-morning offers a different rhythm from the group's lunchtime and evening sessions later in the week. There is no cost to attend and no need to book, with the meeting entirely supported through voluntary contributions.
