Sunday evening at 8.30pm, Dun Laoghaire Central holds a closed Alcoholics Anonymous meeting in Park House, part of the Community Centre on Library Road. Being closed simply means the meeting is intended for people who identify with a desire to stop drinking, and this is the only basis on which attendance is decided, with nobody turned away who shares that aim. There is no charge for attending and no need to register beforehand; people arrive in the run-up to 8.30pm and settle in. This session rounds off a week in which the group meets almost daily at the same Library Road venue, giving a consistent option for those winding down the weekend with a meeting. Wheelchair access has not been confirmed for the building, so anyone with access needs should check with the group directly. Newcomers and established members both take part.
