Dudley Open

As its name says, Dudley Open is an open Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, held on Saturday evenings at 6.30pm at Dove House on the Busheyfields Hospital site in Russell's Hall. Because it is open, anyone can attend: people who want to stop drinking, family members and friends, and professionals wanting to see AA at first hand. Saturday evening can be a difficult stretch for anyone newly trying to stay off a drink, and a 6.30pm meeting breaks the back of it. The session lasts an hour and a half and is free, with no booking, referral or paperwork of any kind. Dove House is wheelchair accessible, so step-free attendance is straightforward.
