Dudley Joe & Charlie is a Saturday morning Big Book study, meeting at 10.30am at Living Hope Church on Middlepark Road, on the Russells Hall estate. The Joe and Charlie approach, named after two American AA speakers, works through the Big Book closely, unpacking the programme of recovery line by line, and this group gives it an hour and a half each week. It is an open meeting, so anyone may attend, including family, friends and professionals as well as anyone who wants to stop drinking. The church is wheelchair accessible. Like every AA meeting it costs nothing and requires no booking; arriving a few minutes early on a Saturday is all that is needed.
