A Gamblers Anonymous meeting takes place weekly at St Mary’s Church Hall on Cannon Street in Dover, every Monday at 7.30pm. It is held as an open meeting, which means there is no restriction on who can attend, from those with a desire to stop gambling to family and friends. Gamblers Anonymous describes its only requirement for membership as a desire to stop gambling, though nobody is asked to meet that on an open night like this. It lasts two hours. There’s no need to book, just turn up. The meeting follows the same anonymity principle as other Gamblers Anonymous groups, so first names only are used.
