Cocaine Anonymous Blackburn meets every Wednesday at 7.30pm at the Phoenix Hub on Heaton Street — enter from Clayton Street, within the Salvation Army Hostel grounds. It is an open meeting and one of the most varied in format in East Lancashire: Big Book study, discussion, literature, speaker shares and a deliberate welcome for both newcomers and young people. The meeting runs for an hour and a half, with street parking nearby. CA's welcome extends to anyone who wants to stop using cocaine and all other mind-altering substances, whatever got them here. If you are young and feel like the odd one out in other rooms, this meeting was built with you in mind.
How do I find the entrance?
The Phoenix Hub is in the Salvation Army Hostel grounds on Heaton Street, but the entrance to the Hub itself is from Clayton Street. Street parking is available nearby.
I'm in my early twenties — will I fit in?
Yes. This group makes a point of welcoming young people, alongside newcomers of every age. Addiction does not wait for middle age and neither does recovery.
