Berkhamsted Speaker

Berkhamsted Speaker takes place on Wednesday evenings at 8pm at The Swan, 137-139 High Street, and runs for an hour and a half. Look for the pink building on the High Street; the entrance is at the side, down a cobbled pathway. There is no parking at the venue itself, so the group asks people to use the Tesco car park instead. As a speaker meeting, a member tells their story of drinking and recovery at some length, which many people find an easy first meeting because there is no pressure to say anything yourself. It is open to everyone, including friends, family and professionals, alongside anyone with a desire to stop drinking. Attendance is free and there is no booking.
