12-step meetings in Wellington

Wellington has four Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings spread over four days, at venues including Nynehead Memorial Hall and Wellington Community Centre. All are free, with no booking or referral — anyone with a desire to stop drinking is welcome. Taunton, a few miles up the road, runs a larger schedule including Narcotics Anonymous and Cocaine Anonymous meetings if you need other fellowships or days.

Going to your first meeting?

Walking into a room for the first time is the hardest step. Our free tools, worksheets and reading can help you prepare, at no cost. If the cost of a written guide is ever a barrier, gifted copies are available through Pay It Forward.

Stepwise Recovery is an independent publisher. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Cocaine Anonymous, Al‑Anon Family Groups, SMART Recovery, or any twelve‑step fellowship or mutual‑aid programme.

Meeting listings can change; always confirm details through the fellowship’s own finder before travelling.
