A Roots & Culture Meeting. All are Welcome.
United Under One Roof is a Saturday lunchtime Alcoholics Anonymous meeting in Southwark, described by the group as a Roots and Culture meeting where all are welcome. It gathers at 12.30pm at the Missionaries of Charity, 112 St George's Road, close to Elephant and Castle. The meeting itself takes place in the basement, which is reached by the iron staircase outside the building, so keep an eye out for it when you arrive. As an open meeting it welcomes anyone at all, whether you want to stop drinking yourself, you are supporting someone who does, or you simply want to see what AA is like. It lasts an hour, is completely free and requires no booking.
Who can attend United Under One Roof?
Everyone. It is an open AA meeting and the group's own note says all are welcome, including family, friends and anyone with a desire to stop drinking.
How do I find the meeting room?
The meeting is held in the basement of the Missionaries of Charity at 112 St George's Road. Access is via the iron stairs on the outside of the building.
Is there a cost or any need to book?
No. Like all AA meetings it is free, and you can simply turn up for the 12.30pm start on Saturday. Because the room is reached by stairs, step-free access has not been confirmed.
