Kennington Chips & Big Book

Kennington Chips and Big Book meets on Saturday evenings at 6pm at St Mary Newington Church on Kennington Park Road, an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting lasting an hour. The name points to two features of the format, sobriety chips marking time in the programme and readings from AA's core text, the Big Book, which together give the meeting a fairly traditional structure. It is open, so anyone is welcome, whether they have a desire to stop drinking, are a family member or friend, or have a professional interest in AA. The venue is wheelchair accessible. There is no cost involved and no need to book a place in advance; you can simply arrive at the church for the start time on a Saturday.
