About this meeting

The Stranorlar group also holds a Sunday midday meeting at 12pm, following the same Big Book format as its Friday session, at the Finn Valley Resource Centre on Drumboe Avenue, Co. Donegal. A lunchtime slot on Sunday offers a different rhythm from the group's evening meetings, and can suit people who prefer to start their week with a meeting behind them rather than fitting one in during a busy evening. It remains a closed Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, for people who have a desire to stop drinking, rather than an open session for family members or professionals. There is no cost to attend and no booking process. Anyone in the Stranorlar area, or the wider Finn Valley, is welcome to arrive shortly before 12pm on Sunday for this meeting.

Common questions

Is this the same format as the Friday Stranorlar meeting?

Yes, both the Friday and Sunday sessions follow a Big Book format, though they run at different times.

Can I bring a family member along?

No, this is a closed meeting, for people who have a desire to stop drinking rather than relatives or professional visitors.

Is there a charge for the Sunday meeting?

No, it is free and there is no need to book, so you can simply attend for 12pm.
