Stowmarket Primary Purpose

Stowmarket Primary Purpose is an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting that meets on Thursdays at 7pm in the Sunshine Room attached to the community centre on Hillside, Stowmarket. It runs for an hour and a half and, as a members-only meeting, is for those with a desire to stop drinking rather than a general audience. The venue is wheelchair accessible. This group also operates a chit system, meaning members who need written proof of attendance for court, probation or a treatment programme can have a slip signed at the meeting. It sits alongside a separate Big Book meeting held at the same venue on Tuesdays, giving the town two weekly AA options within the same building on Hillside.
