Kimberley St Newcomers is built around people coming to Alcoholics Anonymous for the first time. It meets on Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm at Kimberley Street Day Centre in Stockport, runs for ninety minutes, and is an open meeting, so you can bring a partner, relative or friend with you, and professionals are welcome too. Expect the focus to stay on the basics of getting sober rather than assuming everyone knows the ropes. On the first Tuesday of each month the format switches to a Traditions meeting, looking at the principles that keep AA groups running. The day centre is wheelchair accessible, and there is nothing to pay, book or bring.
