Midweek, midday: the Wednesday St Albans Lunch Bunch runs from 1pm to 2pm at Ss Alban & Stephen RC Church, 14-16 Beaconsfield Road. It is one of three Lunch Bunch meetings each week, with sister gatherings on Monday and Friday at the same time and venue, which makes it easy to string together regular lunchtime support without touching your evenings. The meeting is open, so alongside anyone with a desire to stop drinking, family members, friends and professionals are welcome to attend. The church has wheelchair access. Attendance costs nothing and no booking or referral is needed; arrive a few minutes early, find a seat, and listen for as long as you like.
Can I attend without speaking?
Yes. Nobody at an AA meeting is required to speak; many people just listen, especially at first.
Are there other Lunch Bunch meetings?
Yes. The group also meets at 1pm on Mondays and Fridays at the same church on Beaconsfield Road.
Is it accessible, and what does it cost?
The church is wheelchair accessible, and the meeting is completely free with no booking needed.
