Shrewsbury Saturday

The Shrewsbury Saturday group meets at St Winefride's Convent on College Hill, starting at 10am with a longer two-hour session. Al-Anon Family Groups is for anyone whose life has been affected by someone else's drinking, whether they are a partner, parent, adult child, sibling or friend, and the meeting keeps its focus on the person attending rather than on the one who drinks. As an open meeting, newcomers, visitors and professionals are all welcome alongside regular members, with no requirement to already identify as Al-Anon. Saturday mornings on College Hill draw members from across Shrewsbury and the wider Shropshire area; the two-hour length allows more time than most weekday meetings for people to talk through what has been happening in their week.
