The Scottish Borders NA group gathers every Wednesday evening at 8pm in Peebles Old Parish Church of Scotland, on the High Street. Meetings run for an hour and mix several formats through the month: candlelight, literature and book study, speaker sessions and open sharing. To find the room, take the path on the right side of the church, go through the door, then down the steps on your right. If you're travelling in, the 62 Border Buses service runs direct from Edinburgh to Peebles. Coming by train, the nearest station is around 30 minutes away in Galashiels, from where you can catch the 62 across to Peebles. This is an open meeting, so anyone with an interest in recovery is welcome to come along.
Who can attend this meeting?
This is an open Narcotics Anonymous meeting, so anyone is welcome, including family, friends and professionals as well as people with a desire to stop using drugs. If you're new, you can simply turn up and listen.
Do I need to book, and is there a charge?
No booking is needed and there's no charge to attend. NA is self-supporting through members' own contributions, so a basket may be passed round, but you're never expected to give anything, especially at your first meeting.
How do I find the meeting room?
The meeting is on the right side of the church. Follow the path up, go through the door, then head down the steps on your right. The 62 bus from Edinburgh stops directly in Peebles.
