Biggar Beginners

Biggar Beginners is a closed Alcoholics Anonymous meeting for people new to the fellowship, held every Saturday at 11.30am at the Gillespie Centre on the High Street in Biggar. Because it is a closed meeting, it is for people with a desire to stop drinking, not for family members, friends or professionals sitting in. As the name suggests, it is aimed squarely at newcomers, though established members also attend to share their experience. There is no cost and no need to book, so newcomers can simply arrive a little before the start time. The Gillespie Centre is wheelchair accessible, so anyone in Biggar or the surrounding South Lanarkshire villages who uses a wheelchair should be able to get in without trouble.
