Rossendale Sisters In Sobriety is a women's meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous, held on Tuesday evenings at 7pm at Rakefoot Methodist Church on York Street in Crawshawbooth, between Rawtenstall and Burnley. The meeting runs for an hour and a half and gives women a room of their own in which to talk about drinking and recovery, which many find makes honesty easier, particularly early on. It is a closed meeting, so it is for women who have a desire to stop drinking rather than for supporters or observers. The church is listed as wheelchair accessible. There is no charge and no booking; a newcomer can simply arrive and will be looked after.
