Penwortham

The Penwortham group meets every Thursday at 8pm at Priory Lane Community Centre, in the upstairs room, on the south side of the Ribble from Preston. It is a closed Alcoholics Anonymous meeting — for anyone with a desire to stop drinking, or anyone questioning their drinking — and it runs for one hour. Being held upstairs means the meeting is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users; the St Wilfrid's afternoon meeting in Preston city centre offers level access as an alternative. For Penwortham, Hutton and Longton residents, this is the local Thursday anchor without crossing into town.
