Penge's Saturday night meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous is held at Kenilworth Hall at Penge Congregational Church, 172 High Street, with the meeting entrance on Kenilworth Road rather than the main frontage. It starts at 7.30pm and runs for a generous hour and a half. The meeting is open, so anyone may attend: people with a desire to stop drinking, family and friends, and professionals wanting to see AA at work. Saturday evenings can be the hardest time of the week in early sobriety, and a solid weekend meeting in this corner of Bromley fills that gap. The hall has wheelchair access, and as with all AA meetings there is no charge and no booking.
