The Format is a Step Meeting and the Last Saturday of the Month an Experience, Strength and Hope. Travel Comment: The Venue is 5 Minutes Walk from Clacton-On-Sea
One Step Beyond is a Narcotics Anonymous meeting that gathers every Saturday evening in Clacton-on-Sea, running from 7pm for an hour and a half at Open Road on Wellesley Road. It's a welcoming spot for newcomers, working through the Basic Text alongside literature study, speaker shares and step work. Most Saturdays follow a step format; on the last Saturday of the month the group shares experience, strength and hope instead. The venue is around a five minute walk from Clacton-on-Sea station, making it easy to reach. The room is wheelchair accessible. Please note that pets aren't allowed. Whether you're brand new or returning after time away, you'll find a straightforward, supportive group here.
Can I come along if I'm new or not sure I belong?
Yes. This is an open meeting with a beginner and newcomer focus, so anyone is welcome, including family, friends and interested professionals. The only requirement for NA membership is a desire to stop using drugs, and newcomers are especially welcome here.
Do I need to book or pay anything?
No booking is needed and there's no charge to attend. NA meetings are free and self-supporting through members' own contributions, so just turn up. A small voluntary donation is passed round to cover costs like room hire, but you're never expected to give.
Is the venue accessible and easy to reach?
The room at Open Road is wheelchair accessible. It's also about a five minute walk from Clacton-on-Sea station if you're travelling by train. Do bear in mind that pets aren't permitted at this meeting.
