The Monday morning meeting at George Street Social gets Newcastle upon Tyne's week started, running from half past ten for an hour and a half. Unlike several of the other groups that use this George Street venue, this one is open, meaning anyone with an interest in AA and recovery from a desire to stop drinking can attend, not only members. It sits in the same building as the general chair and share, women's, and LGBTQ meetings, in the west of the city and reachable by regular bus services. No chit system operates here.
