Manchester Women’s Meeting (Altringham)

The Manchester Women's Meeting is, despite its name, held in Hale near Altrincham, at The Counselling & Family Centre on Mayor's Road, every Thursday at 7.15pm. ACA is a Twelve Step, Twelve Tradition fellowship for people whose childhood involved a parent's drinking or other family dysfunction, built around healing from that experience rather than around stopping any behaviour of one's own. Because the meeting is open, friends, partners and professionals are just as welcome as those who identify with growing up in that kind of home. As its name suggests, it is a women's meeting within the fellowship. There is no charge and nothing to arrange beforehand; newcomers are welcome to simply arrive and sit in.
