Just for today is a Narcotics Anonymous meeting held every Sunday at 7pm in Whitfield, Glossop, at Whitfield Community Centre. The only requirement for attending, as with any Narcotics Anonymous meeting, is a desire to stop using drugs. Narcotics Anonymous is a non-professional, self-supporting fellowship of people who meet regularly to help one another stay clean. As with all NA meetings, there is no fee and no booking system, so you can come along without any prior arrangement. Meetings are led by members in recovery, and sharing is always voluntary, so newcomers can simply listen for as long as they need.
Is this meeting for everyone, or just people in treatment?
It is not restricted to anyone in a particular programme or treatment service. It is simply for anyone with a desire to stop using drugs.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. NA meetings are free to attend and do not require registration beforehand.
What should I bring?
Nothing in particular. There is no requirement beyond turning up; some members bring a notebook, but it is optional.
