Hyde's Alcoholics Anonymous meeting takes place on Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm at Zion Chapel, 1 Peel Street, and runs for an hour and three quarters, a little longer than most meetings in the area. It is an open meeting, which means everyone is welcome: people who want to stop drinking, family and friends seeking to understand what they are living alongside, and professionals who support people affected by alcohol. The longer running time gives room for more people to share without the end feeling rushed. Attendance is free, with no booking or referral needed; you simply walk in. Wheelchair access has not been confirmed at the chapel, so check in advance if step-free entry is important.
