The Format of the Meeting is an Experience Strength & Hope Chair and Once a Month the Spiritual Principle a Day Reading and Share Back.
Happy Thursdays is a Narcotics Anonymous meeting that gathers each Thursday evening at Christ Church Freemantle on Waterloo Road in Southampton. Starting at 7.30pm and running for an hour and a half, it brings together people who share their experience, strength and hope in a supportive setting. The format shifts with the week: candlelight, speaker and discussion shares form the regular pattern, and once a month the group works through a Spiritual Principle A Day reading followed by a share back. The venue is wheelchair accessible. If you're new to NA, you don't need to say anything before you're ready. Simply turning up and listening is a perfectly good way to begin. Everyone here has been where you are now.
Who can attend this meeting?
This is a closed NA meeting, which means it is for people who have a desire to stop using drugs. If that's you, you're welcome. Closed meetings give members a space to speak freely among people who understand from experience.
Do I need to book or pay anything?
No. There's no booking and no charge to attend. NA is self-supporting through members' own contributions, so a basket may be passed round, but you're never expected to give anything, especially as a newcomer.
