Halifax Wednesday

Basement House on Carlton Street in Halifax hosts an Al-Anon Family Groups meeting every Wednesday at 6.30pm. Al-Anon is for anyone whose life is or has been affected by someone else's drinking, including partners, parents, adult children and friends, whether or not that person is still drinking. Being an open meeting, it welcomes newcomers without any need to have attended before, and there is no need to bring the person whose drinking affected you, since the group exists for your own support. Over an hour and a half, members share their experience of coping. It is free to attend, and there is no booking required in advance.
