On Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm, the United Reformed Church on Portsmouth Road in Guildford opens for a Gamblers Anonymous meeting. Anyone can come to this open meeting, whether that is someone with a desire to stop gambling or a partner, parent, friend or colleague wanting to learn more. A desire to stop gambling is the only thing Gamblers Anonymous asks of its members, and even that is not a condition of coming along on an open night. The gathering lasts two and a half hours from start to finish. The venue does not have wheelchair access. You don’t need to book ahead, just come along on the night.
