Gravesend Beginners

Gravesend Beginners is aimed at exactly who the name suggests: people at the start of getting sober, though anyone is welcome at this open Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. It takes place on Tuesdays at 8pm in Emmanuel Baptist Church Hall, 55 Windmill Street, and lasts an hour and a half. Beginners meetings tend to keep the focus on the basics of staying away from the first drink, which makes this a sensible first meeting if Gravesend is your patch. A chit system is available, so signed proof of attendance can be provided for court, probation or treatment requirements. It is free, there is no booking, and you can bring someone with you if that makes walking in easier.
