About this meeting
Dorchester's Al-Anon Family Groups meeting takes place online every Saturday at 11am, UK and Ireland time, and lasts around an hour and a quarter. Al-Anon Family Groups is there for people affected by another person's drinking — you don't need to be related to them, just affected by it. The group meets to share experience and support around living with, or having lived with, someone else's drinking, using the fellowship's literature and twelve steps as a foundation. It is an open meeting, so it welcomes anyone affected by another person's drinking as well as anyone wanting to understand the fellowship or support somebody else attending. Newcomers are not expected to speak and can simply listen while they get a feel for how the group works.

No, not at all. The meeting is for you — plenty of people come by themselves and the person they're worried about never attends.

Do I need my camera on to attend?
Not unless you want to. It's common for newcomers to join with their camera off and simply listen at first.
