Colne's Wednesday lunchtime meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous is held at 12.30pm at The Open Door Project, 1 Great George Street, near the centre of town, and runs for an hour and a half. A midweek daytime meeting fills an important gap for people who cannot get out in the evenings, and pairs naturally with the early-morning Tuesday meeting at the same venue. This is a closed meeting, meaning it is for people who have a desire to stop drinking, however recently the thought has arrived. Wheelchair access for this lunchtime session has not been confirmed, so check locally if that is essential. Like all AA meetings, it is free and requires no booking.
