Chorlton

Chorlton's Wednesday night Alcoholics Anonymous meeting is held at Chorlton Methodist Church, 12 Manchester Road, from 8pm, and lasts an hour and a half. Chorlton is one of south Manchester's busiest suburbs and this meeting gives the area a solid midweek anchor, with a second meeting at the same church on Sunday afternoons for those who prefer daytime. Wednesday's is a closed meeting, which means it is for people who have a desire to stop drinking; there is no other requirement, and nobody needs a diagnosis or referral to walk in. The church is wheelchair accessible. The meeting is free, unbooked and anonymous: first names only, and you speak only if you want to.
