Chorlton Central Primary Purpose

Primary Purpose meets on Saturday nights at 7.30pm at Chorlton Central Church on Barlow Moor Road, running for an hour and a half. The name comes from AA's stated primary purpose, to stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety, and groups carrying it tend to keep the focus squarely on recovery from alcoholism. A Saturday evening meeting also gives structure to what can be the hardest night of the week for someone newly sober. This is a closed meeting, for people who have a desire to stop drinking. Chorlton Central Church is wheelchair accessible. As with all AA meetings there is no charge and no booking; you can walk in a few minutes before the start.
