The Format of the Meeting is a NA Literature Study.
Every Saturday at 1pm, the Burslem Basic Text meeting brings Narcotics Anonymous members together at Swanbank Cafe, part of Swanbank Church on Swan Square in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent. As the name suggests, this is a literature study focused on NA's Basic Text, so expect readings followed by open sharing rather than a single lead speaker. It runs for an hour and works well if you like getting to grips with the words on the page and how they apply day to day. Parking is available at the venue. The room is on ground level and wheelchair accessible. Please note this is an adults-only meeting and pets aren't permitted. Whether you've been around for years or you're walking in for the first time, you'll find a place here.
Can I come along if I'm new or just want to see what it's like?
Yes. This is an open meeting, so anyone is welcome, including people new to NA, family, friends and professionals. If you have a desire to stop using drugs, you belong here. Come as you are and sit in for as long as you need.
Do I need to book or pay anything?
No booking is needed and there's no charge to attend. Narcotics Anonymous is self-supporting through members' own contributions, so a basket is passed round if you'd like to give, but there's never any pressure to.
Is the venue accessible and is there parking?
Yes. The meeting room is wheelchair accessible and parking is available at the venue on Swan Square. Please note it's an adults-only meeting and pets aren't allowed.
