About this meeting
Brackley's Thursday Al-Anon meeting is held online at 7.30pm, UK and Ireland time, running for about an hour and a half. Al-Anon Family Groups welcomes anyone touched by someone else's drinking, regardless of whether that person is still drinking, in recovery, or no longer part of their life. Members talk through their own experience of coping and recovering, using the fellowship's literature and the twelve steps as a framework for discussion. It is an open meeting, so anyone affected by another person's drinking is welcome, as well as anyone wanting to understand more or support someone else attending. There's no need to have been to Al-Anon before, and no pressure to speak; listening is a normal way to begin.

Does the person whose drinking affects me need to be there?
No. Whoever's drinking has affected you doesn't need to know you're going, let alone attend themselves.
Is there a fee, and how do I join?
It costs nothing to attend, and you don't need to register. Head to Al-Anon Family Groups' meeting page for how to join.
Do I have to have my camera switched on?
There's no expectation either way — some members have their camera on, others don't, and newcomers are welcome to just listen at the start.
