About this meeting

The Bournemouth District Thursday Group is an Overeaters Anonymous meeting held every Thursday evening at 7pm in Moordown Community Centre on Coronation Avenue, BH9 1TW. OA is a fellowship for anyone with a desire to stop eating compulsively, and members share their experience of recovery using the twelve-step approach. This is an open meeting, so alongside those in recovery you're welcome to come along if you're a family member, friend or professional wanting to understand more about how the programme works. If you'd like to know what to expect before you arrive, you can get in touch with Katy or Shelley beforehand for information. There's no need to book, no cost, and newcomers are always welcome to simply turn up and listen.

Who can attend this meeting?

This is an open Overeaters Anonymous meeting, so anyone is welcome, including people with a desire to stop eating compulsively as well as family members, friends and professionals who want to learn about OA. Newcomers are welcome to come and listen.

Do I need to book, and is there a cost?

No booking is required and the meeting is free to attend. OA is self-supporting through members' own contributions, but you're never obliged to give anything, especially as a newcomer. Just come along on Thursday at 7pm.

How can I find out more before I go?

If you'd like details before attending, you can contact Katy or Shelley, who are happy to answer questions. Shelley can be reached between 5 and 8pm. The meeting is held at Moordown Community Centre, 21 Coronation Avenue, Bournemouth.
