Boscombe Baptist Church at 26 Palmerston Road hosts this Monday evening Alcoholics Anonymous meeting in Bournemouth, starting at 7.30pm and lasting an hour and a quarter. It is a closed meeting, which is AA shorthand for a meeting kept to people who have a desire to stop drinking; you do not need to be a member of anything, and turning up for the first time is exactly how most people start. If you have been asked to evidence your attendance for court, probation or a treatment provider, the group operates a chit system and can sign a slip for you. The church has wheelchair access. Anyone wanting to bring a friend or relative for moral support should look for an open meeting instead, such as the Friday night meeting at the same venue.
