Big Red Book Study Group

The Big Red Book Study Group meets every Wednesday at 7.30pm at Newlands South Church on Riverside Road, in the Shawlands area of Glasgow. ACA is a Twelve Step, Twelve Tradition fellowship for people whose childhood involved a parent's drinking or other family dysfunction, built around healing from that experience rather than around stopping any behaviour of one's own. Since it is an open meeting, nobody is turned away - friends, partners and professionals attend alongside those who identify as adult children. As the name suggests, the meeting works directly through the Big Red Book, ACA's core text, alongside the usual sharing. There is no charge and nothing to arrange beforehand; newcomers are welcome to simply arrive and sit in.
