Basildon Step

Basildon Step meets on Thursday evenings at 8pm at Living World Community Church, 6 Honeypot Lane in Basildon, for an hour and a half. The meeting works through the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, taking the programme a step at a time with members sharing their experience of each, which makes it a useful complement to discussion or speaker meetings elsewhere in the week. It is an open meeting, so anyone may attend: people with a desire to stop drinking, and also family, friends and professionals who want to see the programme up close. The church is wheelchair accessible. Attendance is free, no booking is needed, and arriving a few minutes before 8pm is all the preparation required.
